TAX BENEFITS
InterMed is an ETS (Ente del Terzo Settore, an Italian Third Sector Entity). Cash donations to InterMed qualify for the tax benefits provided by art. 83 of the Italian Third Sector Code (Legislative Decree 117/2017):
• individuals: a tax credit against personal income tax (IRPEF) of 30% of the amount donated, up to €30,000 a year, or, alternatively, a deduction from income of up to 10% of total declared income;
• companies and organisations: a deduction from income of up to 10% of total declared income.
To claim these benefits, the donation must be made by traceable means (bank or postal transfer, credit card, cheque). Keep the receipt for your tax return. These benefits apply to donors who pay tax in Italy; donors in other countries should check the rules that apply to them.
are you a company?
donations
With a simple direct donation, your company can support an Intermed project.
BRAND AND PRODUCT PROMOTION
This is a "co-marketing" initiative that links the Intermed logo to your company (or to a product line, product or service). Placing our logo alongside your company's offer shows its commitment to social responsibility and increases the visibility of the product or service with your target audience.
Sponsoring events or publications
Your company can sponsor one of the many events (campaigns, exhibitions, publications, conferences, seminars) we promote every year in Italy and abroad. It is an opportunity to make the most of public relations initiatives and to spread your company's name and brand. You can choose to:
-
sponsor an event promoted and organised by Intermed
-
donate to Intermed the proceeds of events and initiatives you organise yourselves
-
sponsor some of the publications produced and distributed by Intermed.
Long-term partnerships
Your company can choose a lasting, rather than one-off, partnership with Intermed to carry out long-term initiatives together. A partnership that allows both of us to capture consumers' attention and to show our shared commitment more effectively.
Involving your employees
Known as "payroll giving", this form of support works as follows: a company's employees decide to donate a small part of their salary each month (even just a few euros) through a simple automatic payroll deduction, and the company commits to doing the same.
Payroll giving is a stable form of support: it allows Intermed to count on a continuous and reliable flow of resources and therefore to strengthen its work.
Your company will receive all the information and reporting needed to encourage real commitment from management, build employees' enthusiasm and sense of belonging, and strengthen team spirit. With this form of support, your company can enhance its internal communication programmes with minimal investment. Donations from individual employees and from the company are tax-deductible. Another idea is to organise a fundraiser or events among your company's employees to raise funds for Intermed.
Donations of services or goods
This important form of support means offering Intermed company services free of charge or donating goods and products. Many services and materials can be useful for Intermed's work: consultancy, medical supplies, essential goods in emergencies.
Gift ideas
Allocating your Christmas gift budget to Intermed's projects tells customers, suppliers, partners, employees and collaborators that yours is a socially responsible company.
Giving your customers, employees or suppliers one of the items produced by Intermed (Christmas cards, calendars, T-shirts, books and videos) adds value to the usual Christmas greetings and gifts, turning them into a concrete act of help.

Communication matters to your company: make it valuable for everyone. The public's growing attention to the non-profit sector gives companies the opportunity to improve their image with consumers who care about socially responsible action. Investing in social projects means taking an active part in serious, well-documented solidarity initiatives.
Intermed develops social and health projects for less fortunate populations: targeted, direct projects that bring a real improvement in their quality of life. Intermed's work is direct and transparent, and all its development, education and training projects are non-profit.
Your contribution will have a double value: helping people who live in desperate conditions and improving how your company is perceived by your audience.
A sound social marketing strategy can:
-
strengthen the company's image and improve its local reputation
-
communicate its social responsibility to the public
-
attract and retain customers and meet their social expectations
-
build motivation and a sense of belonging among staff.
