WHO: Geneva 2023

At the world meeting in Geneva, Intermed presented a study of patients suffering from both Buruli ulcer and Covid-19. The study, published in the Ozone Therapy Global Journal, attracted great interest at the WHO meeting in Geneva, opening up new therapeutic horizons.
Ozone given by rectal insufflation has a virustatic effect and reduces symptoms typical of Covid, such as fever, cough and fatigue.
The patients treated also had Buruli ulcer, which was treated with daily ozone applications using the bagging technique.
Annunziata Izzo, Antonella Bertolotti and Luca Papetti contributed to the presentation of the study.
Lorenzo Cipriani and Tatiana Pedrazzi of the occupational medicine department of the University of Brescia also attended the meeting.
