In Benin we sent a blood cell counter to the laboratory in Zinvié, where we have worked for years with the Camillian Sisters to help patients with Buruli ulcer.
Our collaboration continues with Dr Olivier, a surgeon at the Hôpital La Croix, where we first went with Marco Preti to film the terrible effects of Buruli ulcer.
Together with Dr Iabichella, we worked with Dr Olivier on more than 200 cases of Buruli ulcer treated both surgically and with ozone therapy.
Publishing our work in international journals (British Medical Journal, Austin, etc.) has given us an ongoing relationship with the World Health Organization.
We believe it is continuity that brings results: research, done properly, can truly save lives.
